Margaret M. Diem

Margaret M. Diem , 40 of 195 Uhl Road, Kersey, died on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on January 8, 1974 in St. Marys, a daughter of Daniel Tucker of Glen Hazel and Connie Socash of St. Marys.
On June 30, 2012, she married Harry Diem,who survives.

Margaret was a graduate of SMAHS and a graduate of Penn State University.  She had been employed at MexAmerica for many years and was a member of the Eagles.  She enjoyed gardening, working out and camping.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she is survived by a son, Justin Gerg, at home; a daughter, Miranda Hanes of Kersey; 2 step-daughters, Wendy (Adam) Sorg of St. Marys, Jessie (Matt) Diem of Colorado and a step-son, Dylan Gerg of St. Marys.  She is also survived by a brother, Michael Tucker of St. Marys, 3 sisters, Michelle (Dave) Albert of Penfield, Amy Titus of St. Marys and Wendy Tucker of St. Marys and by 5 grand children and 2 nieces.

She was preceded in death by her step-father, George Socash, and by her maternal and paternal grandparents; Rose and Emeron Klein and Joseph and Virginia Tucker.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret M. Diem will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at St. Marys Church, Church Street, St. Marys with Fr. Alfred Patterson, OSB, as celebrant.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael Street, St. Marys.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Hahne Cancer Center in DuBois.
