Margaret L. Shoup
, 90, of 759 Johnsonburg Road Apt. 14, St. Marys and formerly of Filmore Road died on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Elk Regional Health Center.
She was born August 22, 1923 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late George and Rose Balaban Mahovlich.
On April 24, 1946 in Sacred Heart Church, she married the late Albert "Bert" Shoup, who preceded her in death on October 9, 1999.
Mrs. Shoup was a member of Sacred Heart Church, where she was an active volunteer in the church and social committee. She retired from Powdered Metal Products and was a member of the C. D. of A. and the St. Anne's Society. She greatly enjoyed playing cards, especially Cinch. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Mary Beth Muhitch and Margaret Rieder and a daughter in infancy, Kathleen Shoup.
She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers; George, Ivan and Steven Mahovlich and 3 sisters; Barbara Reed, Katherine Zoschg and Anne Paropacic as well as siblings in infancy.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret L. Shoup will be Celebrated at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 325 Center Street, St. Marys, on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Eric Vogt, O.S.B., as Celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys on Wednesday evening from 5-8 PM
