Marie Minnick

Marie A. Minnick , 93, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of 565 N. Michael Street, St. Marys, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Pinecrest Manor.

She was born on December 4, 1923, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Edward J. and Mary A. Stalzer Minnick.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Marie is survived by a sister-in-law, Carol Minnick, of St. Marys.  She is also survived by a nephew, Ronald Minnick of St. Marys, and nieces, Carole Stringer of Bethesda, MD, Diane Dorman of Newark, NY, Deborah (Dr. Karl) Wolfe, Barbara (Curt) Brennen, and Sharon Minnick, all of St. Marys.  Also surviving are three great-nieces and three great-nephews, Aaron and Adriane Dorman, Mary Kate Minnick, and Alan, Lauren, and Joel Brennen, all of whom she greatly enjoyed spending time with.

Marie graduated from Central Catholic High School, class of 1942.  She retired from the former Stackpole Carbon Company in 1987 with 45 years of employment.  After retirement, Marie attended daily Mass at the St. Marys Church, where she was a life long member.  She enjoyed working around her home and yard.

In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her three brothers, Edward Minnick, Jerome "Moon" Minnick, and Robert "Mort" Minnick.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Marie A. Minnick will be celebrated on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Church, Church Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Honoring Marie's wishes, there will be no visitation.
