Mark L. Schneider

Mark L. Schneider , 72, of 204 Grandview Road, St. Marys, died on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at his home.  A band of angels came down to reunite Mark with his parents in their Heavenly home.

He was born on June 17, 1948, in St. Marys, a son of the late Lawrence and Martha Zimmett Schneider.

On September 12, 1970 at St. Joseph's in Force, he married the love of his life, Helen "Rosie" Sarnoski Schneider, who survives of St. Marys.

Mark was a lifelong resident of St. Marys and graduated from St. Marys Area High  School in 1966.  After high school, Mark Proudly served in the U.S. Navy, during which time he was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Duval in Panama.  He retired from Sylvania after more than 30 years of service, retiring in 2005.

In addition to his beloved wife, Helen "Rosie" Sarnoski Schneider, he is survived by three daughters; Sonia Schneider of Rosenberg, TX, Stephanie Schneider of St. Marys, and Jennifer Woolstrum and her husband Brian of Baden, PA and by four grandchildren; Robert "Cody" Rhoades, Daniel Woolstrum, Lavender Woolstrum, and Lawryn Schneider.  He is also survived by a sister; Gale (Jon) Lehman of Wilcox, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mark, WS3T, enjoyed ham radio, reading, and puzzle games.  He was proud of his daughters, encouraging them to always do their best in everything.  He was a strong proponent of education and reminded them that they could accomplish all their goals.  That pride extended to his grandchildren, and he often referred to himself as Lawryn's best friend.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mark L. Schneider will be celebrated on Friday, May 28, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Rev. Jeffery Noble, Pastor, officiating.
Military Honors will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail.
Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received at the Queen of the World Church on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
