Marrian A. Bart , 76,  of Limestone Run Road, Kersey, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Penn Highlands Elk.

She was born in Washington, D.C. on July 31, 1945, a daughter of the late Merl A. Dent, Sr. and Pearl Dailey Dent.

On May 15, 1965, she married the late Daniel L. Bart, Sr., he preceded her in death on December 19, 2007.

Marrian was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Emporium High School.  In her early years, she worked at Sylvania alongside her dad. She then worked for many years as an aide for Community Nurses Hospice, a job she enjoyed wholeheartedly and showed much compassion for her patients.

An avid reader, Marrian loved nothing more than a good book, actually having authored her own book titled "Private Passion".  She always enjoyed settling down to watch Gone with the Wind or an old black and white movie.  She was also talented at crocheting and sewing, and always enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by three children; Jeannette Bart-Rees and her husband Richard of Georgia, Deborah Kearney and her husband Daniel of Emporium, and Daniel Bart, Jr. and his wife Ellen of Kersey, a step-daughter; Connie Molina and her husband Robert of Elgin, TX, by 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by a sister; June (John, Sr.) Prouty of Ulysses and a brother; Michael (Kay) Dent of Groveport, OH and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death two brothers; Merl Dent, Jr. and Lyle Dent and by a sister; Venice “Jean” Blazejwski.

Funeral Services for Marrian A. Bart will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM.

Burial will follow in the St. Marys Protestant Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Fox Township Ambulance Association.
