Martha B. Fritz

Martha B. Fritz, 98, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of N. St. Marys Road, St. Marys, died on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Pinecrest Manor following a brief illness.

She was born on September 3, 1923, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Mohr Schneider.

On August 25, 1943 in St. Marys Church, she married the late Ralph Fritz, who preceded her in death on November 21, 1992.

Martha was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Central High School, class of 1941.  She was a member of St. Marys Church.

She is survived by two children; Donna Schaberl and her husband Joe of St. Marys and Michael Fritz and his wife Ann of Palm Harbor, FL, and by three grandchildren; James Fritz, Jeff Schaberl and Mark Schaberl and by five great grandchildren; Arille, Paige, and Chloe Fritz and Cody and Chloe Schaberl as well as by one step great-grandchild; Caley Keister.  She is also survived by one sister; Elsie Klaiber of St. Marys, her sister-in-law; Leona Fritz of St, Marys  as well as by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother; Howard Schneider, and by a sister; Regina Schatz.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Martha B. Fritz will be celebrated on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Marys Church, 315 Church Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, OSB, officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

There will be no public visitation.
