Mary A. Mccarren

Mary A. McCarren , 78, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of Ridgway, died on Friday, February 11, 2022 following a brief illness.

She was born on November 23, 1943 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late James and Gertrude Sorg McCarren.

Mary lived most of her life in Ridgway.  She loved looking at books and magazines, and could often be found watching movies.  She enjoyed getting her hair done at the salon and wearing pretty jewelry.  She never turned down the chance to go shopping, and she greatly enjoyed music, especially polka.  She was a kind and gentle soul who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by one brother; James McCarren, and by two sisters; Geraldine and Sarah McCarren, all of St. Marys.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings; Francis, Joseph, Patricia, Victoria, Holly, and Theresa.

A Graveside Service for Mary A. McCarren will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at St. Boniface Cemetery, 355 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846.
