Mary Ann Bilicic

May 22, 1934 — August 8, 2014

Mary Ann Bilicic, 80, of 413 Maple St., St. Marys, died Friday, Aug. 8, 2014 at Pinecrest Manor.
She was born May 22, 1934 in Kane, daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Hargart) Collin.
On Sept. 1, 1962, at Sacred Heart Church in St. Marys, she married George W. Bilicic Sr., who survives.
She graduated from Kane High School, Class of 1952. She worked as an executive secretary at the Corning Glass Works, Corning, N.Y. for over 10 years. After marriage she was a full-time homemaker and a good Mom for four children who never came home from school school to an empty house and had a Mom's support at their Little League, high school, and college athletics and academic pursuits. She enjoyed going to church, taking piano lessons as an adult, playing the piano, and bowling at Olympic Lanes. She contributed to the family's financial support as a real estate salesperson and broker, in particular during her husband's time in graduate school.
She was proud of her children's educational and career achievements and missed them as their work took them far from home. The sorrow of losing one son (Joseph) to cancer remained with her to the end of her life, as well as a firm belief that she would be reunited one day to him, her siblings, and parents.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, George Jr. of Chicago, Ill. and Matthew of Columbus, Ohio; one daughter, Mary (Bilicic) Foley of Charlotte, N.C.; six grandchildren, Christopher, William, Henry, and Peter Bilicic, and Augustine and Stella Foley. Also surviving is one sister, Kathryn (Collin) Jameson of Bridgewater, N.J.; nephews Jay Jameson of Hillsborough, N.J., James Alexis of Cape May Courthouse, N.J., Robert Alexis of Mt. Jewett, and Brett Alexis of Johnsonburg; nieces Susan (Alexis) Eaton of Lantz Corners, and Darlene (Alexis) Swanson of Wilcox, Kelli Collin of Pittsburgh, Kerri (Collin) Spangler of Kane, and Amy (Collin) Dexter of Bradford.
In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by a son, Joseph; two brothers, Stanley Jr. and Thomas Collin; and one sister, Doris (Collin) Alexis.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Ann Bilicic will celebrated Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014 at 12 p.m. noon at Sacred Heart Church, Church Street, St. Marys, with Fr.
