Mary L. Cunningham , 89, of 918 Fern Road, St. Marys, died on Monday, December 5, 2016 at Pinecrest Manor following a short illness.
She was born on October 28, 1927, in Malvern, OH, a daughter of the late John and Catherine Garbic Geci.
On October 12, 1957 in Queen of the World Church, she James "Hoot" Cunningham, who preceded her in death on March 21, 2001.
Mary was a member of Queen of the World Church and worked at Stackpole for many years. She was also the cook at Trout Run Lodge for a number of years. She enjoyed polka dancing and bowling.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Cunningham and Patrick Cunningham, both of St. Marys, three grandchildren, Rachel (Matt) Hunt of Texas, Matt Cunningham of St. Marys, and James "Pipper" (Rebecca) Cunningham of Pittsburgh, as well as by three great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Jacob, and Gunnar. She is also survived by a sister, Elizabeth Geci of St. Marys, and two brothers, Ivan Geci of St. Marys and David Geci of Austin, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ilene Geyer, Margaret DiNardo, and JoAnn Geci, and by six brothers, John Geci, Joseph Geci, WIlliam Geci, Rudolph Geci, George "Bucky" Geci and by Paul in infancy.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary L. Cunningham will be celebrated on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at 10:00 AM at Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, PA with Rev. Richard Allen, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
