Mary Kay Sarnoski, 80, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
She was born on July 18, 1944 in Blytheville, AR, a daughter of the late Eugene and Elva Fuller Hollobaugh.
On June 25, 1966, at St. Joseph's Church in Force, she married Joseph Sarnoski, who survives. Together they were blessed more than 58 years of marriage.
Mary Kay was a lifelong resident of the area and graduate of Weedville High School. She was a member of Queen of the World Church. When she wasn't admiring the birds or crocheting, she enjoyed camping with her husband and family. She never turned down a chance to go shopping, and loved running into friends to chat with at the stores. Her dogs were her constant companions, and she loved nothing more than spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children; Mary Jo Sarnoski of Penfield, Shirley Newell and her husband Steve, Joseph Sarnoski and his fiancé Faith, and Anita Schneider and her husband Mike, all of St. Marys, and by her 14 beloved grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers; Jerry (Gloria) Hollobaugh of Norfolk, David (Patty) Hollobaugh of St. Marys, and George Hollobaugh of New York, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary Kay was preceded in death by her son; Richard Sarnoski.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Kay Sarnoski will be celebrated on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Fr. Jeffery Noble, Pastor, as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends will be received at the Queen of the World Church on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass.
Memorial Contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
