Mary C. Puncheon

Mary C. Puncheon , 87, formerly of St. Marys, died on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Nelson Golden Years in DuBois following a lengthy illness.

She was born on February 14, 1934, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Frank and Della Smith Whiteman.

On May 28, 1957, at Shiloh Presbyterian Church, she married the late John “Jack” Puncheon, who preceded her in death on December 27, 1997.

Mary was a graduate of Summerville High School, class of 1952, and resided in St. Marys for most of her life. She was member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed working fish fries at the Elk Casino and volunteering at Pinecrest Manor.

She is survived by one son; William Puncheon and his wife Sarah of Dubois, and by 3 grandchildren; Andrew, Joel, and Grace. She is also survived by one sister; Sarah Bills and her husband Richard of St. Marys, and one brother, Frank Whiteman of Brockway.

In addition of her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Whiteman, and by one brother, James Whiteman.

Funeral Services for Mary C. Puncheon will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Shiloh Presbyterian Church, 217 Washington Street, St. Marys, Pa 15857 with Rev. Scott Wiest, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Marys Protestant Cemetery.

There will be no public visitation.
