Mary Jo L. Schutz

MaryJo L. Schutz, 67, of 323 S. Ridge Road, St. Marys, died on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
She was born on October 12, 1950, in St. Marys, a daughter of Joseph Bankovic of St. Marys and the late Marie "Pete" Haberberger Bankovic.

On May 21, 1977 in Johnsonburg, she married Edward Schutz, Jr., who survives.

MaryJo was a lifelong resident of the area and retired from Sylvania in 2006 after more than 36 years of service. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her father, Joseph Bankovic and her husband of nearly 41 years, Edward Schutz, Jr., she is survived by a daughter, Tina Steffan of St. Marys, two grandsons, Evan (Amber) Schutz and Bryce Gabler, and by two great-granddaughters, Danica and Tayla.

She was preceded in death by her mother.


Funeral and committal services for MaryJo Schutz will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
