Matthew Wehler

Matthew K. Wehler , 58, of 525 N. St. Marys Street, St. Marys, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Penn Highlands Elk.
He was born on July 13, 1958, in St. Marys, a son of the late Kenneth Wehler and Rita Lucanik Wehler, who survives.
Matt was a lifelong resident of the area. He was employed at Powdered Metal Products for several years and then owned and operated equipment for many years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church where he faithfully served as an usher on Sunday mornings and also served as a Sacristan.
In addition to his mother, Rita Lucanik Wehler, he is survived by a brother, Jude Wehler and his wife Shari of St. Marys, a niece, Nicole (Chris) Cola, and two nephews, Jacob Wehler and Timothy Wehler.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Wehler on October 13, 2008.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Matthew K. Wehler will be celebrated on Friday, October 7, 2016, at 12:00 PM at Sacred Heart Church, 337 Center Street, St. Marys, with Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, officiating.
Interment will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
