Melvin L. Shaw

Melvin L. "Juny" Shaw Jr., 36, of Erie, and formerly of Kersey, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 in the Erie County Prison.

He was born on October 20, 1988, in Saint Marys, a son of Melvin Shaw Sr. of Florida, and Connie Ginther of Kersey.

Melvin always enjoyed playing sports, including basketball and football. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors.

In addition to his parents, Melvin is survived by 2 children; Darren Shaw and Regan Shaw, by a sister; Dontressa Ginther, and by his maternal grandfather; Jordan Ginther, and his maternal Grandmother; Rebeca Shaw.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother; Mildred Ginther, and by the mother of his children; Brittney Pritt.

A Celebration of life for Melvin L. Shaw Jr. will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Krise Funeral Home, 339 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846.
