Michael J. Mackcoviak, 74, of Las Glorias Road, St. Marys, passed away peacefully at Penn Highlands Elk on Sunday, August 28, 2022 following a brief illness.
He was born on July 18, 1948 in St. Marys, a son of the late Michael F. and Wanita C. Shaffer Mackcoviak.
On February 1, 1969, he married Cynthia Breindel, who survives. Together they were blessed with more than 53 years of marriage.
Mike was a member of Queen of the World Church and retired from Sylvania after many years of service. Following his retirement, he drove truck for a number of years for his dear friend, Ray Pollino. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting. He could often be found working around his home and caring for his lawn, always keeping it meticulous. Together with his wife, they enjoyed many years of making homemade wine. One of his favorite hobbies was his 2001 Plymouth Prowler, which he took great care of and enjoyed taking for a ride when the weather was nice. Most of all, he was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Cynthia Breindel Mackcoviak, he is survived by two daughters; April Fantechi and her husband Steven of St. Marys and Autumn Seduski and her husband Edward of Rockton, and by four grandchildren; Dalton (Jen) Fantechi, Hunter Fantechi, Soloman Seduski, and Sophia Seduski.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother; Steven Mackcoviak.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael J. Mackcoviak will be celebrated on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Fr. Jeffery Noble, Pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Force.
Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Marys Area Ambulance Association.
