Miriam B. Arnold

Miriam B. Arnold , 95, of 257 Charles Street, St. Marys, died on Friday, September 11, 2015 following a brief illness.

She was born on February 17, 1920, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Ambrose and Elizabeth Fox Kreckle.

On July 1, 1939 in St. Marys Church, she married John Arnold, who preceded her in death in 1968.

Mrs. Arnold was a lifelong resident of St. Marys and a member of the St. Marys Church.  She graduated from Central High School, class of 1937.  She enjoyed the more than 20 years she spent as a teacher's aide for Special Education.  She was also a member of the C. D. of A.

She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Muhitch of St. Marys and Carol (Ron) Stott of Easley, SC and by two sons,Thomas (Doris) Arnold and Lyle (Gina) Arnold, both of St. Marys.  She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Schloder, a granddaughter, Christine Schloder, a grandson in infancy, John Schloder, four sisters, Arlene Burden, Irma Skok, Ruth Nussbaum, and Helen Herr and by a son-in-law, Joseph Muhitch.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Miriam B. Arnold will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at 12:00 PM at St. Marys Church, Church Street, St. Marys with Rev. Alfred Patterson, OSB, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM.
