Nicole S. Hanes
, 19, of 254 Hilltop Drive, Kersey, died unexpectedly on Friday evening, December 4, 2015 in Kersey from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born on May 1, 1996, in DuBois, a daughter of Dean and Mary Hedderick Hanes, who survive of Kersey.
Nicole was a member of Queen of the World Church and graduated from high school in 2014. She then earned her cosmetolgy certification from the Fortis Institute in Erie. She worked as a waitress at the Station Inn and enjoyed cats, music and children. She also enjoyed painting and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Dean and Mary Hedderick Hanes, she is survived by a brother, Ryan Hanes at home. paternal grandmother, Connie Hanes of St. Marys, maternal grandmother, Donna Hedderick of Erie, and by her step-grandfather, John "Duke" DeLullo of St. Marys. She is also survived by her uncle and godfather, Booka Hanes and his companion Andrea Ryding of St. Marys, her uncles Rick (Viki) Hedderick of Erie, and Doug (Stephanie) Hedderick of NY, her aunt and godmother Jen (Brian) Szewczykowski of Erie, her aunt Cindy (John) Oleksak of Fairview, PA, and good friends Mike and Peggy Faulk of St. Marys, as well as many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, David L. Hanes, her maternal grandfather, Richard Hedderick, an uncle, Shawn Hanes and an aunt, Kathy Gustafson.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Nicole S. Hanes will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at 10:00 AM at Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, PA with Rev. Richard Allen, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Elk County Humane Society or to a charity of choice.
