Patricia A. Buchheit

Patricia A. "Patty" Buchheit , 71, a resident of Fox Manor, Kersey, died on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Penn Highlands DuBois following a brief illness.

She was born on April 10, 1949, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Joseph Gnan, Sr. and Helen Ott Gnan.

Patty shared her life with the late Larry Swanson, who preceded her in death in 2015.

Patty was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Boniface Church.  Over the years, she was employed by St. Marys Carbon and had worked as a caretaker and home healthcare aide for Helpmates.  She had also been employed at at Best Western, the Town House, and Gunners.  Never turning down the chance to go shopping, Patty also enjoyed yard-saling and collecting angels.  She greatly enjoyed going out to eat and line dancing, but most of all, she loved and adored her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by four daughters; Diane Schreiber and her husband Doug of Johnsonburg, Karen Hepler and her fiance Steve Goodrow of St. Marys, Elizabeth "Liz" Buchheit and her companion Brian Figley of Ridgway, Laura Buchheit and her companion Derek Ruberto of Kersey, by 8 grandchildren; Christina, Rebecca, Kayla, Mackenzie, Ryan, Mason, Sophie, and Garrett and by four great-grandchildren; Brayden, Andrew, Camdyn, and Carsyn.  She is also survived by one sister; Shirley Meyer of St. Marys and by three brothers; Richard (Donna) Gnan, Robert Gnan, and Joseph (Jane) Gnan, Jr., as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her lifelong companion, Larry Swanson, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Gnan, a sister; Elizabeth Gnan, and by a brother in infancy.

Funeral Services for Patricia A. Buchheit will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home with Rev. Ross Miceli, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Memorial Contributions may be made to to the Guardian Angel Center or to the Christian Food Bank.
