Paul F. Johnson

Paul F. Johnson , 77, a resident of Pinecrest Manor, and formerly of Oak Street, Force, St. Marys, died on Friday morning, December 11, 2015 at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy illness.

He was born on Friday, January 14, 1938, in Shawmut, a son of the late Roy and Mary Keyes Johnson.

On June 23, 1962 in Queen of the World, he married Mary L. "Sue" McGill Johnson,  who preceded him in death on July 20, 1997.

Paul was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Queen of the World Church.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955-1963.  He retired from Elk Regional Health Center after many years as a stockroom supervisor.  He was a member of the DuBois Harley Chapter and enjoyed riding his Harley.  He also enjoyed woodcarving, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and his dog, Taz.  He was an avid Civil War and history buff and enjoyed dancing, music and going camping.

Paul is survived by three daughters, Joann (Toby) Sheeley, Jill Johnson and Lisa (Darryl) Hanes all of St. Marys, and by a son, David (Cynthia) Johnson of Luthersburg, 6 Grandchildren, Stephen Johnson, David Johnson, Emily Johnson, Evan Smith, Dylan Smith, and Nolan Hanes, and by one great granddaughter, Marley Johnson.  He is also survived by a brother,
William "Lee" Johnson of WA and a sister, Nellie (Bud) Horner of Ridgway, and by his longtime companion, Norma Mann of Force, her son, Harry Lytle and Harry's daughter, Mariah.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Paul F. Johnson will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at 12:30 PM at Queen of the World Church with Rev. Alfred Patterson, Pastor, officiating.
Military Honors will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.


Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
