Phyllis J. Smith

She was born July 22, 1928 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Philip and Clara Kraus McKay.

On November 7, 1953 in Harrisburg, PA, she married the late Isaac L. Smith, who preceded her in death on November 28, 1985.

Mrs. Smith was a lifelong resident of the area, attended Kersey schools and was a member of St. Boniface Church.  She enjoyed crafts, crocheting and bingo.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.  She was the last member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 3 grandchildren; Philip Egan, Amber and Ashley Krishart, one brother; Philip McKay and 3 sisters; Nancy Stockman, Patricia Shefcyk and Sarah Jane Caskey.

Due to renovations at St. Boniface Church, a Mass of Christian Burial for Phyllis J. Smith will be celebrated at the Queen Of The World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Rev. James G. Faluszczak, Pastor, as Celebrant.

Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery in Kersey.

Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
