Richard G. Geitner

Richard G. "Hinder" Geitner , 58, of S. Michael Road, St. Marys, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh following a lengthy illness.

He was born on September 3, 1965 in St. Marys, PA, a son of the late Gerhart "Gary" Geitner, who preceded him in death in 2003 and Carol Meyer Geitner, who survives of St. Marys.

On October 14, 1989, in St. Marys Church, he married Lori Nasoni, who survives. Together they shared more than 34 years of love and laughter.

Hinder was a 1983 graduate of St. Marys Area High School and had worked at Eastern Sintered Alloys for the past 38 years. He was a longtime member of the Eagles and the Camp Owners. He loved being outdoors, and enjoyed spending time in the woods hunting and going to camp. Most of all, he loved being with his family and being a Papa to his five grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, Carol, and his wife, Lori, he is survived by 2 sons; Josh Geitner and his wife Lindsey, and Alex Geitner and his wife Gabby; and by his five beloved grandchildren; Brody, Cameron, Beau, Layne, and Ivy. He is also survived by four siblings; Keith Geitner , Scott Geitner, and Dawn (Bob) Nasoni, all of St. Marys, and Chrissy (Rich) Kraus of Florida as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Richard G. "Hinder" Geitner will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Lynch-Green Funeral Home with Fr. Jeffery Noble officiating.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 PM.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Marys Little League Association or to the American Cancer Society.
