Rita E. Wiesner

Rita E. Wiesner , 93, of 557 School Road, St. Marys, PA died at Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys, PA on Wednesday (September 27, 2017) morning. She was born August 1, 1924 in St. Marys, PA a daughter of the late W.Carl and Ilene Schaffer Rittenhouse

.On December 29, 1951 in St. Tobias Catholic Church, Brockway, PA she married the late Francis S. Wiesner.

Rita graduated from Brockway Snyder High School and then from Mercyhurst College as a teacher. She taught school in Siegel, PA and later at St. Marys Public High School and the Parochial School in St. Marys. She was a member of the St. Marys Catholic Church, the CD of A and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by two daughters, Ruth (Dennis) Ross and Eileen (Gary) Millsop, both of St. Marys; two sons, Karl Wiesner, Springfield, VA and Andy (Kim) Wiesner, State College, PA; two grandchildren: Connie (Matt ) Gasbarre, Kane and Jim Millsop, Washington, DC. one great grandson Luke Gasbarre

She was preceded in death by her parents, W. Carl and Ilene Schaffer Rittenhouse, her husband, Francis Wiesner who died Sept. 4, 2004

. Visitation will be at the Lynch Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St.,St. Marys, PA on Friday from 5-8 PM.

Mass of Christian will be Celebrated at the St. Marys Catholic Church, Church Street, St. Marys, PA on Saturday (September 30, 2017) at 10:00 AM with Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, OSB, Pastor, as Celebrant.

Burial will take place at St. Tobias Catholic Cemetery, Brockway, PA. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
