Robert T. Floravit

Robert T. "Bob" Floravit , 49, of 725 N. St. Marys Street, St. Marys, died at his home on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 surrounded by his family following a brief illness.

He was born on April 29, 1968, in St. Marys, a son of the late Thomas Floravit and Margaret Werneth Floravit, who survives of St. Marys.

Bob was a lifelong resident of the area and member of St. Marys Church.  He was a graduate of Elk County Christian High School, class of 1987.  He worked for many years at Ames Department Store and for 24 years at Elk County Heat Treaters.  He enjoyed watching old westerns, going to the local Bingo's and making trips to Salamanca.  He also enjoyed the California Angels baseball team and liked to watch the games on tv.  Bob had a very strong belief in his faith.

In addition to his mother, Margaret Werneth Floravit, he is survived by two sisters, Linda, Mrs. Dave Hoffman and Debbie Zuchowski, both of St. Marys, by four brothers, Allen (Karen) Floravit, Ronald (Darlene) Floravit, Eugene (Charlotte) Floravit, and James "Jim" (Lynn) Floravit, all of St. Marys, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Floravit, by a nephew, Timothy Floravit, and by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert T. Floravit will be celebrated on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 12:00 PM at St. Marys Church, Church Street, St. Marys, PA with Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, OSB , as celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Community Nurses Hospice.
