Ronald P. Meyer

Ronald P. Meyer , 55, of 156 Jackson Road, St. Marys, died on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at his home following a lengthy illness.

He was born on September 15, 1962, in St. Marys, a son of Germaine Wolfel Meyer and the late  Ellsworth "Bud" Meyer who preceded him in death on January 27, 2017.

Ron was a lifelong resident of the area and had worked in the woods as a logger for many years, which he greatly enjoyed.  He enjoyed vehicles and was an excellent mechanic and also took care of heavy equipment.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family and cared greatly for his mother.

In addition to his mother, Germaine Wolfel Meyer, he is survived by three sons, Jessie Palumbo and Josh Palumbo, both of Pittsburgh, Matthew Meyer of St. Marys, and by one granddaughter, Layla.  He is also survived by three brothers, Mark (Rhonda) Meyer of  West Virginia, Roger (Mary) Meyer of Warren, and Jude Meyer of St. Marys, by three sisters, Becky Beimel of Truman, Cindy Prechtl of St. Marys, and Denise Meyer of St. Marys, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister in infancy, Mary Meyer, and by a brother in early childhood, Adam Meyer.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Ronald P. Meyer will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Church, 315 Church Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Fr. Peter Pierjok, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.
