Rose M. Facetti

Rose M. Facetti , 87, of 457 Dippold Ave., St. Marys, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014 in Richmond, VA, at the home of her son following a 2 year battle with cancer.

She was born on February 15, 1927, a daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys Quatroche Iorfida.

On May 1, 1954 she married Leonard "Leo" Facetti at the Sacred Heart Church in St. Marys.  He preceded her in death in 2006.

Mrs. Facetti retired from Pure Carbon Company in 1995.  Rose was a selfless individual who cared for others needs before her own. She was a lifelong member of the Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed attending early mass on Sunday, followed by breakfast with special friends. In her life, she enjoyed traveling and spending her winters in Virginia, Georgia and Florida.

She is survived by 2 sons, Steven Facetti and his wife Sandi of Buford, GA and Lee Facetti and his wife Barbara of Richmond, VA, and grandsons Adam and Mark, both of Richmond VA., step-grandchildren Katelyn Kitzel of Atlanta, GA and Benjamin Kitzel of Pensacola, FL.  She is also survived by 4 brothers,  Louis "Louie" Iorfida  and his wife Florence "Puggie", John Iorfida and his wife Mary, David Iorfida and his wife Karen, and Albert Iorfida,  all of St. Marys, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her bother Ralph Iorfida, and 2 sisters, Josephine Ferris and Eleanor Baker.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose M. Facetti will be celebrated on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Church with Fr. Eric Vogt, OSB, officiating.  There will be no visitation.
