Rose Anne Mahovlich

Rose Anne Mahovlich, 89, of 1766 Bucktail Road, St. Marys, died on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Penn Highlands DuBois following a brief illness.

She was born on March 16, 1928, a daughter of the late Joseph and Loretta Eckert Wolfe.  She attended area schools and was a member of St. Marys Church.

On November 24, 1949 in St. Marys Church, she married Frank A. Mahovlich, who preceded her in death on January 6, 2017.

Roseanne was a kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was dedicated to her family and her faith.  Always one to enjoy the holidays, she also enjoyed cooking and canning.  She also liked to play cards.

She is survived by two sons, David J. Mahovlich and Donald E. Mahovlich and his wife Susan, both of St. Marys, and by a daughter, Renee Mourer and her husband Scott of St. Marys.  Se is also survived by nine grandchildren, Brandon (Karen) Mahovlich, Dustin (Kira) Mahovlich, Toby Mahovlich, Jenna Mahovlich, Eric Sadley, Emily Mourer, Nicole Merat, Malea Mourer and Morgan Mourer and by six great-grandchildren, Kenzie and Kyndra Mahovlich, Ian Merat and Damion Close, and Ollie and Damion Mourer.  She is also survived by three brothers Alvin Wolfe, David (Florence) Wolfe and Jim Wolfe, all of St. Marys, by two sisters, Doris Woelfel and Jeanne Brem, both of St. Marys and by in-laws, Joe (Peg) Mahovlich, and Helen Goodman, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband of more than 67 years, Frank A. Mahovlich, she was preceded in death by a son at age 8, Ronald Mahovlich, and by three brothers, Vincent, Joseph and Dennis Wolfe.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose Anne Mahovlich will be celebrated on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Church, 315 Church Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Fr. Frank Ziemkiewicz, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
