Suzanne M. Smith-Valentine

Suzanne M. Smith-Valentine , 63, went to our Lord on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 after a long illness. She was a devoted mother who loved her best friend and daughter Jasmine. Suzanne loved to spend time with her family and she had a passion for animals. One of her favorite hobbies was riding horses and the horse that gave her much joy was her Arab horse, Shammar, because he was full of spirit. No matter what abandoned or orphaned animal showed up on Suzanne's doorstep she would always take them in with welcoming arms and nurse them back to health before setting them free again.
Suzanne was proud of the profession she chose and being a Registered Nurse for over 25 years provided her challenges everyday, which she found most enjoyment in. Her favorite position was working in the ER.
Suzanne loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping. She was passionate about protecting the earth. She was most talented in the kitchen, cooking and baking, and she was best known for her apple pies. She had a craving for riding the biggest roller coasters, especially at Cedar Point.
Suzanne was a member of the SPCA, World Wildlife Foundation and the Sierra Club.
Suzanne was predeceased by her parents: Robert Monroe Smith and Susan Migoni Smith.
Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Jasmine Valentine; her former husband Paul Valentine; along with her brothers Tom (Diana) Smith and John (Lisa) Smith and 3 loving nephews, Kevin, Aaron, and Lucas Smith. Suzanne also left behind 3 of God's creatures, her cats Michael, Diesel and Holly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 30th, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church, 337 Center St, St. Marys, PA 15857, with Rev. Michael Gabler, OSB, officiating.

Interment will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Friday from 10:00-10:30 AM.
