Teresa L. Bauer

Teresa L. Bauer , 82, of 427 Rightmeyer Street, St. Marys, died peacefully on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy illness.

She was born on October 26, 1933, in Johnsonburg, a daughter of the late Andrew and Margaret Solomon Santaniello.

On June 30, 1962 in Holy Rosary Church, she married Bernard Bauer, who survives.  They recently celebrated their 54th anniversary.

Mrs. Bauer was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of St. Marys Church.  Years ago she was employed at Stackpole Carbon Company.  She volunteered at the former St. Marys Parochial School and enjoyed gardening and flowers.  She also enjoyed bowling and playing bingo.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.  She especially enjoyed her grandsons and sh their sporting events.

In addition to her husband of more than 54 years, Bernard Bauer, she is survived by a son, Andrew Bauer and a daughter, Betsy (Andrew) Hoy, both of St. Marys, and by two grandsons, Eric Hoy and Zachary (Charlene Yonker) Hoy.
She is also survived by two brothers, Anthony (Pat) Santaniello of Treasure Lake and Andrew "Butch" Santaniello, Jr., of Ridgway; by five sisters, Rita Gahr of Kersey, Mary Nicklas of St. Marys, Valerie Santaniello of Wilcox, Dolores (Bruce) Lindgren of Johnsonburg, Cecelia (Michael) Weaver, of Youngstown, OH and by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ann Struble, Elizabeth McClain, and Kathy Wilson.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Teresa L. Bauer will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Church with Rev. Alfred Patterson, OSB, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
