Theresa M. Fritz

Theresa Markley Fritz , 95, a resident of Silvercreek Terrace, died on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a brief illness.

She was born on August 1, 1922, in Crates, PA, a daughter of the late Fred and Anna Mae Crates Markley.

On November 10, 1995 in St. Tobias Church in Brockway, she married Wilfred "Willie" Fritz, who preceded her in death on December 25, 2010.

Mrs. Fritz was a graduate of Clarion Limestone High School and the Mason Flex Beauty School in Pittsburgh.  She was a member of the St. Marys Church and had been a self-employed beautician.

She is survived by one sister, Beatrice Waite of Bear Rocks, PA, by several nieces and nephews, and by numerous step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, and step great-great- grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Bertha Markley, by three brothers, Fred Markley, Jr., Francis Markley, and George Markley, by three sisters, Mary Markley, Helen Aaron, and Catherine Reinsel and by a step great-grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa M. Fritz will be celebrated on Monday, February 12, 2018, at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Church, 315 Church Street, St. Marys, PA with Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
