Vertie M. Stewart

Vertie M. Stewart , 78, of Oak Manor on Chestnut Street, St. Marys, died on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Elk Regional Health Center following a brief illness.

She was born November 3, 1934 in Mountain City, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Lacy and Sara Edna Stewart.

In 1982, Vertie moved to St. Marys and made her home at Oak Manor on Chestnut Street.  She retired from Elcam after many years of service.  She attended the Senior Center and enjoyed spending time with her housemates and friends.  She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, going camping, and animals.  She also enjoyed attending community events and going to church.

Sister: Edith Clark, Coudersport
Brother: Ralph Stewart and his wife Lynn, Rochester, NY
Numerous : nieces and nephews, including,
Caroline Moore, Connie Crown, Brad Moore,
Heidi Moore, Randy Haas and Ricky Stewart

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers, Robert and Lacy Stewart and a Sister, Helen Stevens.

There will be No Visitation.

Relatives and friends of Vertie M. Stewart are invited to attend a Memorial Service which will be held at the Faith Baptist Church, West Creek Road, St. Marys, on Friday, September 6, 2013  at 10:00 AM with Rev. Brad Brunner, ofi
