Virginia R. Lecker

Virginia R. Lecker , 98, of 1300 South Michael Road, St. Marys, died on Sunday morning, August 6, 2017 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a brief illness.

She was born on April 12, 1919, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Albert T. and Germaine Knight Beimel.

On July 16, 1941 in St. Marys, she married Gilbert G. Lecker who preceded her in death on September 22, 1998.

Virginia is survived by a daughter, Arlita Feldbauer of St. Marys. She is also survived by three special grandchildren with whom she was very close, Cynthia Feldbauer, Robert (Barbara) Feldbauer and Richard Feldbauer and a very special great granddaughter Mikayla Feldbauer, as well as many other grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Dennis A. Lecker in 2008 and a grandson, Zachary, who was very close to her. Two other grandchildren and two great grandchildren also preceded her in death. A brother, Leroy W. Beimel and sisters, Rita Grunthaner and Arlene Cassels also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Virginia R. Lecker will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at 10:00 AM at Queen of the World Church with Rev. Jeff Noble, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 8:30 until 9:30 AM at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 9, 2017.
