William G. Peters

William G. Peters , 76, of  Benezette, died on Friday, September 29, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born on January 7, 1941, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late George and Agnes Uhl Peters.

On February 2, 1963 in St. Leo's Church, he married Roberta "Bobbie" Thompson Peters, who survives.

Bill was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, class of 1959.  He worked as a die setter for more than 20 years at Keystone Carbon, and went on to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor's  Degree in Business Administration and Economics.  He established and was the Administrator of the Outreach Program for the Universtity of Pittsburgh at Bradford, which also brought college courses to the City of St. Marys.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed reading and traveling with his wife.

In addition to his wife of more than 54 years, Roberta "Bobbie" Peters, he is survived by two daughters, Lori (James) Thatch of Flemington, NJ, Valerie Powell of Flemington, NJ and by one son, Daniel Peters of Mendham, NJ, as well as by eight grandchildren, Mitch, Wesley, Colin, Jacob, William, Carolina, Mark, Jr., and Adam, as well as by one great-grandson, Fisher.  He is also survived by a brother, James (Galena) Peters of Sacramento, CA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Mark Powell, and by a brother, Ronald Peters.

In accordance with Bill's wishes, there will be no funeral or committal services.
